SUPERHOT VR For Oculus Rift Is The Simply Amazing!
The SUPERHOT devs dealt with some Criticism when they announced that they we’re releasing a virtual reality version of SUPERHOT exclusively for the Oculus Rift. The devs responded to the criticism back in January stating the creation of SUPERHOT VR wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for Oculus and that future versions will be considered in the future.
First, this isn’t just a simple port of the desktop version of SUPERHOT, this is SUPERHOT VR built for the Oculus Touch, from the ground up. If you’ve played SUPERHOT before be prepared for an all-new type of experience. If you never touched SUPERHOT before, the game is the FPS in which time moves only when you move. You’ll be able to dodge bullets and defeat large groups of enemies by manipulating time. The added VR and Oculus Touch controls gives the game even more depth and you must struggle to not only stay still but to physically move out of the way of any incoming dangers.
SUPERHOT VR is an entirely new title. It’s reimagined and redesigned from the ground up for VR and hand tracking controllers. The fruit of over three years of super close cooperation between SUPERHOT and Oculus, SUPERHOT VR is releasing with Oculus Touch controllers and is available to purchase today!
If you’re one of the lucky few and you’re already kitted out with the necessary hardware, then wait no more. Drop in and enjoy the visceral, satisfyingly physical world of SUPERHOT VR.

The added Oculus Touch controls of SUPERHOT VR really make the game shine. You can use your virtual hands to punch enemies, shoot guns and throw the objects that litter the many levels of the game. The touch controls work very well and have little to no latency issues, you can actually grab a pistol out of an enemies’ hands an shoot them in the face.
The only major issues with SUPERHOT VR would have to lack of a beginning hub menu and issues with throwing objects. It may just be my Virtual aiming abilities but hitting a target by throwing something is a lot more difficult than in the Desktop version.
Overall if you own an Oculus Rift and just got your Oculus Touch, SUPERHOT VR is something you should really consider adding to your collection. It is very polished for VR and makes great use of the new Oculus Touch controllers. For those who don’t have an Oculus headset, the devs made it clear that other version will be releasing in the near future so HTC Vive owners won’t be left in the dark for too long.
