Pokemon GO For Smartphones Releasing 2016

Pokémon GO was announced at a business strategy meeting that was being held by the Pokémon Company. Being developed for Android and iPhone devices, Pokémon GO uses the players GPS and location data to populate real world locations with Pokémon to catch, battle and trade. Pokémon GO is being developed by Niantic Labs, developers of the popular Augmented Reality MMO game Ingress. It can be expected that some elements from Ingress such as multiplayer interaction and location based game play will find its way in Pokémon GO.

Travel between the real world and the virtual world of Pokémon with Pokémon GO for iPhone and Android devices! With Pokémon GO, you’ll discover Pokémon in a whole new world—your own! Pokémon GO will use real location information to encourage players to search far and wide in the real world to discover Pokémon.

The Pokémon video game series has used real-world locations such as the Hokkaido and Kanto regions of Japan, New York, and Paris as inspiration for the fantasy settings in which its games take place. Now the real world will be the setting!

Niantic Labs will be working with Nintendo and key individuals in preparation of its 2016 release date. Along with the game, Nintendo have developed the Pokémon Go Plus, a Bluetooth accessory that looks like a Pokémon badge from the videogame and anime series. The Pokémon Go Plus lets users perform simple in game actions as well as vibrates to notify the player of nearby Pokémon. Pokemon GO is looking to be released for FREE in 2016, the game will contain In-App purchases
