Sony’s Project Morpheus Release Date in the first half of 2016
Sony announced it’s Project Morpheus release date today at the 2015 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Sony’s virtual reality headset will be released during the first half of 2016. The hardware speck of Project Morpheus have been buff as its now sporting a 1920 x 1080 display. The refresh rate is doubled that of last year going from 60 Hz to an impressive 120 Hz. The new 5.7-inch screen also has a higher field of view and a OLED display. No specific release date has been announced and the price point is still a mystery. The name is still Project Morpheus but it isn’t finalized yet. Project Morpheus is hoping to be the first VR peripheral for a gaming console, with Oculus, Valve and others pushing VR devices and content Sony’s latest news helps remind us that their still interested and invested in Virtual Reality.
