Microsoft HoloLens | Windows Gets It’s Own VR Device

Rumored to be working on their own Virtual Reality device, Microsoft revealed Project HoloLens. Microsoft’s new virtual reality glasses uses a clear display to display virtual images and application on top of real life objects. More of an augmented reality device than a virtual reality device, the Microsoft HoloLens will be released as consumer HMD being marketed and reasonably priced to both businesses and individuals.

Microsoft’s virtual reality glasses will allow you to see and interact with the real world. Unlike other headsets like the Oculus or Gear VR, the transparent display will allow users to still be able to move and interact in the real physical world while simultaneously utilizing apps, games and more. The all in one unit won’t require a cell phone like Samsung’s Gear VR and looks to be controlled via hand gestures, most likely utilizing the same technologies as what’s in Microsoft’s Kinect sensor.

All that was seen so far were mock up concepts and developers will have to be willing to develop killer apps and games for this to be a must buy device.
