Nine Year Old Me Would Explode, Visit The BatCave In VR

Batman, aka the Dark Knight is one of the greatest superheroes of all time. His base of operations has always been the Batcave, a secret headquarters located in the cave beneath Wayne  Manor. In the Batcave Batman keeps all his gadgets and vehicles such as the batcomputer and batmobile. (Guy is quite fond of bats).

The VR Batcave will be available for the Oculus Rift, Gear VR and other head mounted displays.

Surprisingly they even got Batman: The Animated Series producer Bruce Timm to help with the project. Bruce Timm seems to be onboard to supervise the look and feel of the batcave matches the style of the classic 90’s cartoon. The site states Timm there as “guiding the meticulous adaptation of the original 1992 designs into a fully realized universe with volume and depth”[/fusion_text][separator style_type=”none” top_margin=”20″ bottom_margin=”20″ sep_color=”” icon=”” width=”” class=”” id=””][imageframe lightbox=”yes” style_type=”none” bordercolor=”” bordersize=”0px” stylecolor=”” align=”center” link=”” linktarget=”_self” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”down” animation_speed=”0.1″ class=”” id=””] [/imageframe][separator style_type=”none” top_margin=”20″ bottom_margin=”20″ sep_color=”” icon=”” width=”” class=”” id=””][three_fifth last=”no” class=”” id=””][fusion_text]The Batman Animated Series was one of my favorite cartoons back in the 90’s so I’m ()and I’m sure others) are excited to get our hands on this. This is most likely a promotion for the Batman 75 Year Anniversary and its good to see VR being utilized as a marketing platform by big names such as Warner Brothers and DC Comics. Like NBC’s The Voice it seems some studios and companies are using simple VR concepts to push their respective shows in a new and exciting way. Something so simple as allowing us to walk around the Batcave is an amazing way to get anyone excited for Batman.  Hopefully this is only the first of many Batman VR experiences to come, hopefully if this makes an impact we may see more. Fingers crossed for Springfield VR.[/fusion_text][/three_fifth][two_fifth last=”yes” class=”” id=””][fusion_text]

“We’re thrilled to be part of this project. Our work with Warner Bros. validates the tremendous potential of VR as a new cinematic medium.”
